Just
been given a digital camera to use? Finding editorial photography
a nightmare? Need to take better pictures for publication?
Our one-day
in-house Better Photography training seminar is aimed at
journalists, editors, PR professionals and others who need to take
better photographs.
InfoTech's course
is run
at your premises, so there is zero travelling time, no travel or
hotel costs and the rate per person is very cost-effective.
But is this
for you? Typically, all your images used to be taken by an in-house
or freelance photographer, but you now have a digital camera and
need to take them yourself. Sound familiar?
On the better
photography training seminar we look at:
- How digital
cameras work and how to set them up for the best results
- How to take
better PR and editorial photographs
- How to light
your subject
- How to to
set up better photographs
- How to use
props
- How to enhance
your images once they have been taken.
The average
digicam is a completely closed book to most people - much the same
as the instruction manual in most cases!
We explain terms
like JPEG, ISO, CMYK, TIFF, Pixels, RGB and much more.
We then look
at how to take better PR or editorial photographs, how to pose people,
how to handle groups and how to turn the mundane into the marvellous.

All our courses
include full handouts. We come to you, so all you have to do is
provide a room and a suitable digital projector.
We have
run in-house courses for Norwich Union, Environment Agency
Standard Life, Euromoney, Halifax Building Society, Anglian
Water, the Scottish Arts Council, Guinness, Herts County
Council, Novartis, Manchester City Council, AstraZeneca and
many others.

How
much does it cost?
The cost is £450 + VAT + travelling expenses for the first
delegate, and £75 + VAT for each subsequent delegate. Compare
that with the total cost of sending four or five people to a course
150 miles away. We usually run courses for up to 10 delegates, which
we find to be about the maximum.
